This is our family holiday cottage which three generations have enjoyed for over 50 years. We visit Portnoo all year round, whether to enjoy the long summer days or the smell of the turf fires in winter; it is a haven for relaxation. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms it is perfect location for an extended family or two families sharing, for groups of golfers, fishermen or artists.

The cottage is in a 5 star unique position – as the name suggests the cottage is situated in the beautiful Portnoo harbour, which has a small, sheltered golden beach with adjacent rock pools full of crabs and shrimps to give children of all ages hours of endless pleasure. Steps lead from the cottage directly to the beach – you can sit on the patio or sunroom and watch children play on the beach or rocks in a safe environment. The harbour is enjoyed especially at high tide for swimmers of all ages. Views from the cottage of Errigle, Aranmore and Iniskeel Islands and Narin Strand are stunning all year round with the ever changing tides and mountain colours. A family run, well stocked shop is located 2 minutes walk from the cottage. The cottage is adjacent to the newly opened Rosbeg-Portnoo sailing and watersports club.

The cottage in our eyes is comfortable and homely. The sunroom/lounge is split level with panoramic views. One level has comfortable sofas and chairs, the other level is a games room with a table tennis table and patio doors leading to the patio and garden. The kitchen is well equipped and the adjacent dining area has a large round table and padded bench seats to accommodate a large number at meal times! The 4 bedrooms and two shower rooms are sited in the original part of the cottage. The bedrooms which are basic and comfortable sleep up to 12 people – one of the bedrooms has a maximum occupancy of 5. The garden has a large grassed area and patio with adjacent spacious private car parking. Steps lead from the garden via the rocks to a picturesque and sheltered harbour beach.
